Babeş-Bolyai University is one of the largest institutions in Romania which has gained a solid national and international reputation thanks to its achievements down through the decades. It has 21 faculties, with more than 45,500 students and several research institutes. Located in a geographical area characterized by the presence of diverse ethnic and religious groups, the University adheres to a policy of multiculturalism, its students and teaching staff being Romanian, as well as Hungarian, German and Roma.
